Questions Oakville trades owners ask before hiring us

Short, direct answers to the questions premium renovation, HVAC and landscape owners ask most: what it costs, how long it takes, who owns what, and how we report.

Written by Ali Sedighi, MBALast updated:

These are the questions we hear most from owners of premium renovation, HVAC and landscape firms in Oakville. The answers above are short on purpose. Below, we expand on the four issues that matter most before you decide anything: cost, commitment, measurement and trust.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Oakville.Marketing cost?

Growth costs $1,999 monthly with no commitment, or $1,499 monthly if you choose annual billing, before 13% HST. Elite is $3,999 and Enterprise $7,999 a month. Ad spend is extra and paid directly to the platforms.

Is there a long-term contract?

No. You stay because the work pays, not because a contract says so; giving 30 days' notice ends it. Annual billing is optional and lowers the monthly rate.

How long before we see signed projects?

Enquiries from paid search can start within weeks. Signed high-ticket projects usually follow two to six months later, because large renovations and landscapes have long decision cycles. Organic search takes longer still.

We tried an agency before and it didn't work. Why would this be different?

Often the previous agency measured clicks or leads rather than signed work, or sent volume your team couldn't qualify. We start by tracking every enquiry to a contract and agreeing a cost ceiling in writing, so you can judge us on the same terms.

Who owns the website, domain and ad accounts?

You do, from day one. We work inside accounts registered to your business. If you leave, you keep everything, including the content and photos.

What do the monthly reports show?

Consultations, proposals and signed contracts by source, plus cost per signed job and what we plan to change next month. We write them in plain language, without vanity charts.

Do you promise rankings or a number of leads?

No. No honest firm can promise rankings or enquiry counts. We agree targets and a cost ceiling, report against them openly, and change course when something isn't working.

Are you a contractor?

No. We are a marketing and business consulting service. We never install, build, repair or service anything, and every enquiry goes to your firm.

Do you only work with HVAC companies?

No. Our published case studies are results from our HVAC work, but this service is built for Oakville renovation, HVAC and landscaping firms selling high-value projects.

Can you work with our existing designer or marketing person?

Yes. We often handle one area, such as search ads or referral systems, while others keep theirs. Each account needs one clear owner so results aren't counted twice.

Do you work outside Oakville?

Yes, for Oakville firms whose crews also serve Burlington, Milton or Mississauga. We plan each extra market separately and only once there is real project proof there.

Will you write reviews or case studies for us?

We help you ask real clients for reviews and write case pages from your real projects, with permission. We never write reviews or invent client stories.

Cost: what you are really paying for

Answer first: you pay a monthly plan fee for strategy, content, setup, management and reporting, and you pay ad platforms directly for media. Nothing is hidden inside the plan.

Growth is $1,999 a month, Elite $3,999 and Enterprise $7,999, with lower rates on annual billing and 13% HST for Ontario clients. The pricing page has the full table and a worked example of when the spend pays for itself. For most premium firms, one or two extra signed projects a year cover a Growth plan entirely.

Commitment: why there is no lock-in

Answer first: month-to-month terms keep us honest. If the work doesn't produce results you can see, you can leave on 30 days' notice and take every account with you.

That matters more in premium trades than anywhere else, because results take longer to show. We would rather earn your patience than contract for it. We will tell you in the first conversation roughly how long your kind of project takes to move from first enquiry to signature, so you can judge progress fairly.

Measurement: what "working" means

Answer first: marketing is working when signed projects traced to it earn more gross profit than it costs. Everything else is a supporting signal.

We track every call, text and email to its source, then follow it to a consultation, a proposal and a contract. In practice that means agreeing with your office how enquiries are recorded. Our lead economics guide shows how to set your own break-even cost per signed job.

Trust: what we will and won't say

Answer first: we only state facts we can support, and we label our case studies as results from our HVAC work.

We don't publish reviews we can't verify, don't promise rankings, and don't claim awards or credentials we don't hold. Ali Sedighi, MBA, leads the work, and his background is on the about page. If something we recommend has a risk, we name it.

The questions behind the questions

Answer first: when premium owners ask about price or contracts, the real worry is usually wasted time and loss of control. Here is how we address both.

Wasted time. Your estimator or designer is often your most expensive person. Marketing that produces a full calendar of small or poorly matched enquiries can cost more in their evenings than in ad spend. That is why we agree screening questions with you before any campaign goes live, and why our reports show how many consultations reached a proposal, not just how many enquiries arrived.

Loss of control. Some owners have been burned by agencies that registered the domain, the ad account or the Business Profile in the agency's own name. We never do that. Accounts are opened in your business's name with your email as the owner, and we are added as managers. If you leave, you remove our access and carry on.

Being sold to. Premium owners are sold to constantly. We would rather recommend a smaller plan, or no plan at all, than sign up a firm whose crews are already booked a year ahead. Sometimes the most useful advice in a first conversation is to fix the follow-up process before spending anything.

Still have a question?

If your question isn't here, ask it directly. You can call, text or email; see the contact page for what to include so the first reply is useful. You can also read about each of our services before you get in touch.
